About the role:

As a Part-time Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering high-value Discovery Phases for our clients. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to identify business problems, uncover user needs, document clear requirements, and shape actionable recommendations that inform product, process, or technology decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience leading structured discovery or pre-project planning engagements.

Responsibilities:

Discovery Activities

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and clarify business needs and strategic goals.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and elicitation sessions to understand expectations and success criteria.
  • Define scope boundaries, objectives, business challenges, and priority areas.

Documentation & Analysis

  • Analyze current processes, systems, and data to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Create requirements artifacts (e.g., functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, business rules).
  • Develop high-level process maps, use cases, and workflow diagrams.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommended next steps to project teams and clients.

Deliverables

  • Typical outputs include:
    Requirements documentation
    Prioritised requirements list or backlog
    Project scoping and sizing documents
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (4+ years) working as a Business Analyst in technology, consulting, or software delivery settings.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Discovery, Pre-Sales, or Requirements Definition phases.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex business problems into clear requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, interviewing, and facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable with remote/part-time collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools such as Miro, Figma, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to produce clean documentation (user stories, process flows, specs).
