About the role:

The PO role involves being able to translate a product vision and roadmap into a well-structured, prioritized backlog that drives real delivery. You must have worked within IT product companies, have a deep practical understanding of Agile, and is comfortable operating at the Epic and Feature level in collaboration with Scrum Masters and development teams. While formal Agile certification is desirable, demonstrable experience managing and prioritizing backlogs in a Scrum environment is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is transparent, well-structured, and aligned with the product roadmap and business goals
  • Translate product strategy and roadmap into Epics, Features, and well-defined backlog items
  • Continuously prioritize and refine the backlog based on business value, customer impact, technical dependencies, and delivery capacity
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters to ensure effective Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning
  • Collaborate daily with Scrum Development Teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure shared understanding
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product requirements and scope decisions
  • Balance stakeholder expectations with delivery realities, making clear and data-driven trade-off decisions
  • Ensure backlog items meet agreed Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
  • Use metrics, feedback, and insights to iterate and improve backlog quality and prioritization over time
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner within an IT product company
  • Experience working in EdTech or education-focused product environments
  • Strong hands-on experience managing and prioritizing backlogs at Epic and Feature level
  • Deep practical knowledge of Scrum and Agile delivery environments
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a high-level product roadmap into a structured, actionable backlog
  • Experience working closely with Scrum Masters and cross-functional development team
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to make prioritization decisions confidently and transparently
  • Experience in Message Queuing:, using RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication, event-driven architecture, and reliable message brokering between services
  • Experience in Containerization and Orchestration, using Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications in production environments and Docker for containerization
  • Experience in Authentication, using Auth0 for identity management, JWT-based authentication
  • Experience in Cloud Services, such as AQS, Azure, GCP
