About the role:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and implement on-premises infrastructure and application deployments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to build robust, scalable, and secure systems using Rancher, Terraform, and other modern tools. You will play a critical role in setting up and managing key applications, including Kubernetes (K8s), Redis, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities:

1. Container Orchestration:

  • Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters (K8s) using Rancher for containerized workloads.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of on-prem environments.
    1. Application Setup and Management:
  • Deploy and optimize on-prem applications:
    – Redis for caching.
    – RabbitMQ for messaging.
    – Elasticsearch for search and analytics.

2. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development and IT teams to ensure smooth application integration.
  • Participate in designing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.

3. Performance & Security:

  • Implement best practices to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable on-prem systems.
  • Monitor, log, and analyze infrastructure health to address potential issues proactively.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, with a focus on on-premises environments.
  •  Hands-on experience with Rancher and Terraform.
  • Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes (K8s) clusters.
  • Solid understanding of Redis, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch deployment and optimization.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with security and compliance standards.
