React Native Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled React Native Developer to join our team to develop a feature-rich cross-platform mobile application for the Arabian Roots & Routes initiative. The ideal candidate will focus on building intuitive, high-performance mobile apps that deliver seamless user experiences, integrating innovative features like e-passports, rewards programs, and real-time notifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
  • Implement core app functionalities, including onboarding, booking workflows, and rewards tracking.
  • Integrate third-party APIs such as DHL for logistics tracking, Google Maps for location services, and payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal.
  • Optimize the app for offline capabilities, ensuring a smooth user experience in low-connectivity areas.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional interfaces.
  • Work closely with back-end engineers to ensure seamless API integrations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Conduct thorough testing, including unit and integration tests, to ensure app stability and performance.
Requirements:
  •  Proven experience in building mobile applications using React Native.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
  • Experience with Firebase, Google Maps API, and AdMob integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of multi-language app development (e.g., bi-directional support for Arabic).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

 

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with offline-first mobile app strategies.
  • Familiarity with payment gateway integration and PCI DSS compliance.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
