We’re looking for a skilled React or FullStack JavaScript Developer to work with a cutting-edge development tool that increases productivity by 20x by offloading 95% of coding tasks to an AI (LLM). Your main job will be to design, structure, and describe application logic via prompts that are processed by an AI to generate web applications and backend systems.

Pythagora is an AI developer that enables the creation of applications by writing in natural language. Our mission is to simplify software development by allowing artificial intelligence to manage the code, while you focus on the creative part of development.
As part of our team in Zagreb, you will work on future technologies and be a key part of building revolutionary AI agents. Our core is GPT Pilot, an open-source project with over 32,000 GitHub stars and 80,000 users worldwide.

Who are we?
Pythagora is a startup with roots in Croatia and a base in San Francisco, part of the prestigious Y Combinator. Our small team in Zagreb brings together the most motivated individuals, and our goal is to create technology that enables building applications 10 times faster than today.
- Work with a specialized AI tool to define and decompose business logic into clear, structured prompts
- Guide the AI to generate applications ranging from simple “Hello World” setups to more complex apps like chat systems, dashboards, or e-commerce platforms
- Collaborate with the team to review and refine prompt outputs, ensuring that generated solutions meet quality and performance standards
- Integrate and configure AI models (OpenAI, Claude, Groq, etc.) via APIs as part of project requirements
- Occasionally write or tweak frontend/backend code (React, Node.js, etc.) when necessary for fine-tuning or integrating custom components
- 3 years of commercial experience with React and/or Node.js (Express)
- Understanding of system architecture and business logic decomposition
- Ability to write clean and logical prompts to describe apps and desired functionality
- Familiarity with REST APIs, MongoDB, and basic frontend styling tools (e.g., Bootstrap, CSS)
Will be a plus:
- Experience working with prompt engineering or AI-assisted development tools
- Familiarity with tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar
- Knowledge of basic DevOps (deployment, environment setup)
