About the role:

Sensys Gatso Group is a global leader in traffic safety solutions, delivering innovative systems for traffic enforcement and smart mobility worldwide. We combine cutting-edge technology, data, and analytics to help make roads safer and cities smarter.

We are expanding our Data & Analytics team and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will play a key role in building scalable data pipelines and ensuring data availability for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain robust Snowflake and dbt data pipelines.
  • Develop denormalized tables and data models optimized for BI tools, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
  • Implement streaming ELT processes to support real-time analytics and operational dashboards.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Optimize performance, ensure data quality, and enforce best practices in security and governance.
  • Contribute to the overall data architecture strategy and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake and dbt (data modeling, performance tuning, testing).
  • Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL pipelines (batch and streaming).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and Python (or similar scripting languages).
  • Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent) is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Proven track record in designing scalable data architectures for analytics and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, international environment.
