The Lead QA role will involve designing and driving the testing strategy, planning and execution for our platform/s. You will play a key role in ensuring and maintaining product quality, reliability and performance through the SDLC up to UAT, making sure every release is rock solid. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, design and product teams to define testing standards, drive automation and deliver a seamless user experience, and build confidence in what is delivered.
Key Responsibilities | Strategy
- Design and implement the overall testing strategy to cover functional, non-functional, integration, regression, performance and security testing across multiple modules
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and user acceptance criteria aligned with business and product requirements
Key Responsibilities | Leadership
- Manage and mentor the test team and foster a culture of quality ownership across all relevant stakeholders
- Allocate team resources, set priorities and ensure on-time delivery of test cycles within Agile sprints
Key Responsibilities | Test Execution
- Manage and lead automated and manual test execution across relevant environments
- Establish KPIs and quality metrics, such as defect density, test coverage, automation rates and release readiness, and report against these to relevant stakeholders
Key Responsibilities | Automation and Tools
- Implement test automation frameworks for functional and regression testing
- Select, implement and maintain QA tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter and Postman
- Support continuous delivery by implementing testing in CI/CD pipelines
Key Responsibilities | Collaboration and Governance
- Collaborate closely with business and product teams to define acceptance criteria and UAT plans
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, accessibility and security standards, such as SCORM, xAPI, COPPA, WCAG and GDPR if applicable
- Enforce best practices in QA through documentation and governance processes
- 7 + years in software testing with at least 3 years in a senior role, such as Test Manager or QA Lead
- Strong background in testing SaaS platforms or enterprise applications, with experience within the EdTech domain
- Experience with test automation frameworks and performance testing tools
- Experience and well-developed knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies using iterative development cycles
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG) and compliance frameworks is a plus
