No. Academy Smart LMS is licensed under a one-time payment model. You own the platform, host it yourself, and can onboard as many clients and learners as your business needs without recurring per-user fees.
The license is one-time. After that, ongoing fees are optional: a monthly retainer for support, updates, and new features if you want it. Most clients pay between €400-€1,500/month, depending on the level of support they need.
At a small scale, SaaS is cheaper. Past a few hundred learners, the math flips. Many training providers pay $100K+ per year in SaaS fees, but don’t own anything. A custom LMS with Academy Smart typically delivers ROI within two to three years, and the cost stays flat as you grow.
You own everything. The platform runs on your infrastructure: your own server or a cloud instance of your choice (AWS, Azure, GCP). Either way, your client data, your course content, your learner records stay under your control. We have no access to your platform unless you invite us in
